Yesterday happened to be “World Cancer Day” and I’m unsure about how I feel about that since EVERY day is cancer day in my world.
The Stupid Cancer Radio Show last night went really well! It’s so nice connecting with others who understand the world of cancerland. We chatted a bit about World Cancer Day in addition to a discussion with the hosts. If you missed the show, here’s click on the icon below for the podcast. In addition to me being featured in the Survivor Spotlight they interviewed young adult survivor chef/restauranteurs Eric Levine (Winner, Food Network “Chopped” and proprietor at Morris Tap and Grill in New Jersey) and Hans Rueffert (Author & proprietor at The Woodbridge in NC). I was honored to be included!
Tomorrow, another chemo infusion and hopefully a quick rebound for the rest of a busy week.
Join me at Pecha Kucha night at Parkland College Friday night! Come out for a FREE event with a cash bar! Doors open at 7:30, the presenters start at 8:20. I’m in the first half of the presenters and I’m looking forward to seeing lots of familiar faces! Full information is here.
Lastly, the U of I Pink Game is Sunday at 1 pm. It’s just $5 admission and free parking to cheer on the Illini who are on a three game winning streak. Kristy Osmunson from the country music duo Bomshel will perform the top-40 hit “Fight Like a Girl” at halftime as survivors and warriors are honored on the court. Want more information? Click here.
Thank you for all the support as I’ve transitioned over to this site. And a huge thanks to my future-brother-in-law for setting it up!
