I always love sharing awesome, unique, creative ideas (probably because I’m not creative enough to produce something like this, so I’m in awe!). Each year for Christmas, I get Corbin a photobook filled with our memories from the year. He loves going back and reading/reliving our memories. So, when a friend from college gifted us with this book, I knew Corbin would love it! What I didn’t realize was it gave me a glimpse into a future that I haven’t been able to see. The illustrations (based off a few photos of Corbin) showing him as an adult in a career (movie star, police man, fire man–all his ideas) blew my mind! As I’ve often said, cancer has robbed me of seeing the future. I live my life in 3 month segments, from one scan to the next. Getting a glimpse into what Corbin might look like in 10 or 20 years is a truly priceless gift!!

And, in an amazing twist of fate, this company also supports children in foster care. My first job after grad school was working as a caseworker with kids in foster care. Then I worked the rest of my career as an academic advisor and advocate for students who struggled in reading. So, I’m a huge fan of kids developing strong reading habits at an early age.
I hope you all have an amazing Thanksgiving, I have so much to be thankful for, including having YOU in my life.
